IF YOU CONSIDER THE ZODIAC/ASTROLOGY/NUMEROLOGY approaches to be scam/quack-science, see if that attitude applies to this sort of "science test" too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_blood_analysis
http://www.stat.sc.edu/~west/javahtml/LetsMakeaDeal.htmlThe point of the ToK exercise would be to contrast the two ways of arriving at the answer: rational (discussion as to what the probability is, with mathematical arguments) or empirical (play the game and keep count of the number of times the contestant wins after switching).
JOURNAL TYPE CONSIDERATIONS:
Can we quantify subjective material (like emotions @ wefeelfine.org)?
Can we use a scientific approach with humans and achieve any success or reliable results? Which of the tests today do you trust or think is reliable or believe gave you knowledge (justified true belief)?
Do these tests help prove the “softness” of the “soft” sciences that the Human Sciences contain?
Is this simple entertainment or is it informative and revealing (about yourself), for example, are these tests more helpful or worthwhile than reading your horoscope?
Deep thought: Is the most difficult subject matter (area of knowledge) to "know" ultimately yourself [Hamlet would say yes]?
